Superbowl Sunday- who cares about football when Bad Bunny is performing tonight.

Hello! Thank you for clicking on my lifestyle blog. There is truthfully nothing to extraordinary about my life. I am a college student (who is not graduating in 4 years) and I am still trying to find a job and internship. Which is the bane of my existence, considering I have no idea what I really want to do. However, I am not going to stress about the rest of my life right now, I have homework and a blog writing assignment that is overdue for my digital journalism class.

I think one of the most pivotal moments in my life was when I studied abroad. I took an art, fashion, food and wine journalism class in Florence, Italy where I studied. In this class, we learned how to write like a critic. Now, this was difficult for me as a reporter- I follow the facts and try to be as objective as possible. I kept thinking, why does my opinion matter? I am not a chef, nor a designer and for sure not an artist. Therefore, my blog is subjective, and I shall give my opinion, but understand that it is just that.

My opinion of the day is that The Superbowl would not be nearly as popular if the Halftime show didn’t exist. I mean think about it, what are we all subconsciously waiting for…the Halftime show! There have been some extremely talented artists who have given great performances. Some of my favorites include Lady Gaga, The Weekend and Katy Perry. I am looking forward to Bad Bunny’s performance and could not be more thrilled to see him on stage. Especially given the current political climate and unrest happening in the U.S, representation matters, and people’s voices should never be silenced. Though I do not know much Spanish, I will for sure be dancing along! I even got some chips and dip for the Superbowl party I am attending. I can’t wait to celebrate a night of football, food, friends and drinks. What could be more American? Maybe if Uncle Sam himself showed up, it would be the true American Dream! But I will settle for a group of 20 something year old girls who are looking for an excuse to drink together on a Sunday night.
